Civilian Atrocities
Since November 4th, 2020, the war waged on the Tigray region has resulted in over 150,000 civilians being killed and mass atrocities have been committed against Tigrayans and international humanitarian workers. The wide-scale human rights violations include merciless execution-style killings, sexual and gender-based violence, ethnic profiling, arbitrary arrests, interruption of job contracts, amongst a slew of other things.
While the following list outlines some of these atrocities, those documented are negligible compared to realities on the ground. Due to the communications blackout, data collection has been particularly difficult. The list will be updated regularly with the latest available information.
